Dr. Suresh G

Dr. Suresh G is an Associate Professor in the area of Accounting and Finance at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Bengaluru. With over 16 years of academic experience across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, his teaching and research interests lie in behavioural finance, financial risk management, agricultural economics, taxation, and sustainable finance.

He has successfully guided two Ph.D. scholars and continues to mentor several doctoral researchers. His academic profile is strengthened by more than two decades of scholarly engagement, including publications in reputed peer-reviewed and indexed journals. He has also authored books and contributed to edited volumes in the areas of banking, finance, and applied economics.

Dr. Suresh has successfully led several funded research projects. His recent project concentrated on the pressing issue of building a sustainable supply chain ecosystem to address price volatility in perishable agricultural commodities such as Tomato, Onion, and Potato (TOP), with significant policy implications for food inflation and market stabilisation in India.

An advocate of experiential and research-led learning, Dr. Suresh integrates data-driven analysis, live case studies, and empirical tools in his classroom. His courses include Behavioural Finance, Financial and Cost Accounting, Financial Risk Management, and Taxation. He has also completed certified programmes in Financial Analytics and Academic Research from XLRI and IIM-K, respectively, strengthening his pedagogical and analytical skillset.
