On 1st October 2018, the students of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management – SIBM, Bengaluru won the Annual Maria Phillip Memorial India Inter-B-school competition organized by Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship. The winning team was awarded the running trophy and a cash prize of Rs 50,000.

Varsha Raghu was adjudged the best speaker.

Students from many institutes and b-schools participated in the debate competition on ‘In terms of competitiveness in IT, India has already lost out to China.
