Alchemy is an annual Management Conclave hosted by Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bengaluru where seasoned minds from the corporate world share their experiences and insights with the students.
Theme of Alchemy 2016 is “Quo Vadis India?”, Which translates to Where are you going India?
India is forecasted to become the fastest growing economy in the world, but will it be able to sustain this growth, is something many Indians are really skeptical about. The new government policies have garnered significant market attention in the past two years and have done well in shifting their major spending from consumption to investment. At the same time, there are many reforms that promised great gains but have actually failed to deliver. Therefore, the question remains, given India’s young and dynamic population, can India invert the skeptics’ argument?
Alchemy is scheduled to be held on 25th and 26th of November, 2016 and will comprise of five keynote addresses and three panel discussions.
Themes of the panel discussions are:
1. Running on fumes?
This panel discussion aims to discuss fate on Indian start-ups and key challenges faced by them. It will address the most vexing question at the table: Is valuation of start-ups the most dangerous bubble?
2. Destination: World?
This discussion aims to discuss the strategies and challenges faced by companies gearing up to explore the international arena.
3. Digital Darwinism.
This discussion aims to throw light on how different industries are transforming themselves to generate a wider social and economic impact.
